It's just a "see ya later"

This past weekend, I had the lovely opportunity of going to the exotic St. George for a mission farewell. This farewell was for my dear friend Megan. I've been to a lot of farewell's in my life, but this one was definitely one of the hardest. Even thought I haven't been friends with Megan for that long, I feel like I have known her my whole life. She's a friend who just gets me, she is so caring, and I've never met someone like her in my life. So here's to you Meg, thank you for being one of my best friends and for caring so much. Kill it in Canada. I love you!

Love the art in yourself, not yourself in the art

As I went back to my good old stomping grounds of dear old Davis High yesterday to watch the Advanced Theatre class of 2013-2014, I couldn't help but feel a rush of nostalgia. Throughout my years at Davis I was blessed with many opportunities to be involved with the performing arts. At the end of my junior year I auditioned to be in a class called Advanced Theatre, being in this class was something I had been wanting clear back to my Freshman year. Making this class would be a dream come true. Well after an intense audition and callback I had made the class, my dream was becoming a reality.

Car is parked, bags are packed, but what kind of heart doesn't look back?

So I know I'm a little bit late on the whole end of Freshman year blog post thing. But like a good friend of mine named Megan said, it's hard putting it into words. I truly cannot describe what this year has meant to me. Choosing to go to school at Utah State was easily one of the BEST decisions I have ever made. The people I've met, the choices I've made, the experiences I've had, the trials I've overcome, the blessings I've received have all been amazing. Was it always a fun party? No it wasn't. It was hard and at times I wanted to throw in the towel and move home, I'm so glad I didn't. This year has shaped me into a different person. I am so glad I came to Utah State. I'll miss it while I'm out serving the Lord for 18 months; but no worries I'll be back right after. It's my second home.:)
